Our approach to privacy

Age Dignity is built around a simple belief: your family's story belongs to you. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible and to be clear about what we do collect.

Information you choose to give us

The only personal information we ask for is what you provide when you join our email list: your first name (optional) and your email address. We use this to send occasional, relevant updates and resources. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Email delivery

We use a third-party email provider (Resend) to deliver our emails. Your email address is shared with that provider solely to send you the messages you signed up for.

Analytics

We use privacy-first, cookieless analytics that we operate ourselves. We record anonymous, aggregate events — such as which pages and topics are viewed and which "Start Where You Are" situations are selected — to understand what visitors find useful.

  • We do not use advertising technology.
  • We do not track you across other websites.
  • We do not use device fingerprinting.
  • We do not store sensitive free-text content in analytics.
  • We use a temporary, random session identifier that is not tied to your identity and is cleared when you close your browser tab.

Site search

When you search Age Dignity, we store the words you searched for and how many results were found, so we can understand what people need and create better resources. If you are not signed in to My Age Dignity, searches are stored anonymously with no link to you, your device, or your IP address. If you are signed in to a My Age Dignity account, your searches are associated with your account so that authorized Age Dignity staff can better support you; they are never shown to other members and are never used for advertising or profiling. Deleting your account also deletes your saved searches. Because search wording can be personal, we treat it as sensitive and never share it with third-party analytics.

Guided Help and the words you share

Some Guided Help steps invite you to describe your situation in your own words. This is always optional — you can complete Guided Help without adding any text, and we ask you not to include names, addresses, account numbers, or other sensitive identifying details. What you write is never placed in our analytics and is never written to our ordinary application logs. It is only stored if you choose to save your result to a My Age Dignity account, where it stays private to you and authorized Age Dignity staff, and you can delete it at any time. For some pathways, an editor may enable an AI assistant that reads the words you share only to help match them to relevant Age Dignity guidance and resources and to write a short reflection of what you shared. The AI never diagnoses, never gives medical, legal, or financial advice, and can only point to guidance Age Dignity has already written. We disclose this clearly on the step where it applies. If someone's words suggest an urgent safety situation, we may show a message directing them to immediate or professional help.

Cookies

Age Dignity's own analytics do not set tracking cookies. Certain platform or hosting scripts may operate independently; this posture is flagged for legal review.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not build hidden profiles about you or your family.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us. You can request that we delete your subscriber information.
